“Mazaa aa gaya (enjoyed it). Amazing feeling. Kya janta hai yaar (amazing fans),” Pant could be heard saying in the video where he switched between panning the camera on the crowd, his teammates and himself.
Pant’s career was at crossroads after he was involved in a serious car accident in December 2022, as 26-year-old required multiple surgeries followed by more than a year of rehabilitation, putting serious doubts on whether he can return to his best to play international cricket once again.

But not only did he complete a remarkable recovery to mark his return to competitive cricket in IPL 2024, but also went on to become a World Cup winner on his comeback in India jersey.
India defeated South Africa by seven runs in the T20 World Cup final at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, on June 29.

The T20 world champions then had to wait a little longer to bring the ‘Cup’ home as the team was stranded in Bridgetown because of hurricane ‘Beryl’.
Rohit Sharma & Co finally boarded a flight to India and landed in Delhi in the early hours of Thursday morning and met Prime Minister Narendra Modi before taking a flight to Mumbai to celebrate with the fans and attendthe felicitation ceremony at the Wankhede Stadium.
