Muskaan Kataria on her bitter separation from Faisal Khan: Just because the last person wasn’t right doesn’t mean the right one doesn’t exist

After debuting on TV in 2019 with the ninth season of Nach Baliye, in which she starred with Faisal Khan, her then boyfriend, Muskaan Kataria has come off the grid. Now, three years later, she is back in action and has already wrapped up a web series.

Speaking of the gap, he says: “I was looking for work when the pandemic hit, but at that moment everything stopped. So, I went back to my parents in Jaipur and decided to help my father with his business. It’s not like I overshadowed my acting aspirations. I continued auditioning from my hometown. I returned to Mumbai earlier this year and have done some commercials since then. I completed a web series recently. It’s a psychological thriller and I’m the protagonist. I am happy to have started to take small steps after a long wait and several refusals ”.

The actress also auditioned for TV shows. However, she is passionate about OTT and movies. She says: “It’s true that I’m more focused on movies and the web, but that doesn’t mean I’m isolated from TV. The reason probably is that I don’t personally watch daily soap operas. However, as an artist, I am open to all mediums. I am aware that being a newcomer, I will not have much to choose from, but I will try to undertake only quality work ”.

For the uninitiated, Muskaan was in the news for his bad breakup with actor-dancer Faisal Khan in 2019 after a year-and-a-half courtship. She had accused him of betraying her twice, which he denied. Muskaan says he learned a lot from her failed relationship. He adds: “Everything that happened was a learning experience for me. It was nice until I found out the truth and I don’t regret the way it ended, how it was meant to be. The biggest learning is that I won’t go public until I’m sure. I shouldn’t rush into things, which I did during the last one. You have to give time to a relationship and keep it private until it becomes permanent ”.

Even though her last relationship ended on a bitter note, she hasn’t stopped believing in love. She says, “A bad breakup doesn’t mean no one can come into my life now. I believe in love. Just because the last person wasn’t right doesn’t mean the right one doesn’t exist. It’s just that I’m not actively seeking love. I’m single and my job has top priority at this point. ”
