ADELAIDE: Pakistan qualified for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup after beating Bangladesh by five wickets here on Sunday.
In their last high-stakes Super 12 game, Pakistan continued Shaheen Afridi‘s four for 22, his career-best T20I numbers, to first limit Bangladesh to 127 for eight and then chase the target in 11 balls to spare.
Going for the bat, Bangladesh fly-half Najmul Hossain Shanto made 54, while Afif Hossain went undefeated on 24.

Later, Pakistan chased the target with disconcerting ease, going 128 for five in 18.1 overs.
Mohammad Rizwan had a run-a-ball 32, while Mohammad Haris scored an 18-ball 31.

Nasum Ahmed (1/14) was the top bowler in Bangladesh.
Pakistan join India from Group 2 in the semi-finals.
