Honeywell: Vimal Kapur of Indian origin will be CEO of Honeywell

The 57-year-old Kapur will assume the leadership role on June 1, about 10 months after being named president and chief operating officer of Honeywell.
Kapur joined the company after completing his education in India. He graduated from Thapar Institute of Engineering in Patiala as an electronic engineer with major in instrumentation.
He has held several key positions in the company, including CEO of its construction technologies, as well as performance materials and technologies units. Kapur also oversees the company’s operating model, Honeywell Accelerator, which uses various tools, processes and best practices to improve efficiency.
“Honeywell’s next operational evolution, under Vimal’s leadership, will be the incorporation of Accelerator and the standardization of global business models to enable maximum performance in each business segment,” Adamczyk said in a statement.
Adamczyk, who has been Honeywell’s chief executive officer since 2017, will continue to serve as executive chairman and will receive a base salary of $1.3 million, the company said in a regulatory filing. Kapur’s base salary as CEO will be $1.5 million, Honeywell said. He was also the managing director of Honeywell Automation India (HAIL).
