Suryakumar Yadav first Indian batter to record three successive golden ducks in ODIs | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: Suryakumar Yadav is always in the limelight for his exploits with a 360 degree striking style and has created numerous records in T20I cricket which have catapulted him to the top of the rankings in the format.
But the Indian hitter is making headlines these days for his dismal run in the ODIs with the bat that even landed him an unwanted record. Suryakumar became the first Indian striker to register three successive golden ducks in ODIs in India’s third game against Australia in Chennai.
After being trapped in front by the Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc on the first ball he faced in the first two ODIs, Suryakumar made it three in a row when he was cleared by spinner Ashton agar.
Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah are the other Indian batters to record three consecutive ducks in the ODIs.
Overall, Yadav was the 14th batter to record three trotting golden ducks. The list includes names like Alec Stewart, Andrew Symonds and Shane Watson.
