‘Tough & lot’s of learning’: Rishabh Pant summed up the year 2023 | Off the field News

NEW DELHI: Star India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, who had a horrible year after surviving a near-fatal car accident last December, summed up the year 2023 as tough with a lot of learning.
While replying to a social media post on ‘X’, formerly Twitter, Pant, who regularly posts his rehab updates, spoke his heart out while his fight for making a comeback to competitive cricket is still on.
“Tough & lot’s of learning,” Pant wrote on X.

Pant, who had his last appearance for India in a Test match against Bangladesh in Mirpur in December 2022, has recently become part of the Delhi Capitals training camp in Kolkata.
However, Pant opted not to participate in the training sessions at this time but he is all set to lead the Delhi franchise in the IPL 2024.
Earlier, former India cricketer-turned-commentator Deep Dasgupta came up with a big statement, suggesting that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) might consider Pant as a potential successor to MS Dhoni in IPL 2025 in the event of the ex-Indian captain’s retirement.
Dasgupta feels that one should not be surprised if CSK target Pant as Dhoni’s replacement since both are alike in terms of thinking.
