‘Suspect BJP leaders have hand in murder’ : INLD chief’s family refuse post-mortem, demand arrest of accused | India News

NEW DELHI: The family of Indian National Lok Dal’s (INLD) chief Nafe Singh Rathee, who was shot dead in Haryana’s Jhajjar on Sunday, refused to allow post-mortem of his body until the accused were held, further suspecting the involvement of “local BJP leaders” in the murder.
“We will not allow the post-mortem to be conducted until the police catch my father’s murderers”, Jitendra Rathee, son of Nafe Singh Rathee said.
“I suspect that local BJP leaders have a hand in my father’s murder, “he added.

Alleging that the Police refused to provide them security “despite repeated requests”, Rathee said, “The police administration is sitting silent. My family and I are not getting security. My father was demanding security for five years.”
State home minister Anil Vij said on Monday that CBI investigation would be ordered in the killing of the INLD chief.
Meanwhile, the Haryana Police booked a former MLA and 11 others in connection to the murder.
In a FIR filed on Monday, police named former MLA Naresh Kaushik, Karambir Rathee, Ramesh Rathee, Satish Rathee, Gaurav Rathee, Rahul, and Kamal. The FIR also lists five nameless individuals.
