NEW DELHI: Veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, after sharing the Player of the Series award with Ravindra Jadeja, expressed his heart giving full credit to the versatile left-arm spinner bowler and said Jadeja him gave a lot of freedom to be creative with the ball.
Ashwin finished with 25 wickets and also scored 86 runs in the four Test series against Australiawhile Jadeja accounted for 22 wickets and scored 135 runs with half a century.
“It’s been a great journey together. We wouldn’t be the same without each other. He gives me a lot of freedom to be creative on the pitch with the ball. I owe him credit. I thought he was playing beautifully in the game. Delhi Trial. That’s why we’re here,” Ashwin said of the Jadeja partnership.
Jadeja said they had great chemistry on the pitch and always continued to discuss the game.

“We’re always talking about the wicket, the field we should have for particular hitters. We’re always talking and discussing.”
Jadeja however added that he could have scored more points.
“I’m not happy with my stick in the series. I missed a few times. Especially in this game…Hopefully I’ll work harder and be more focused on my stick for the next series” , did he declare.
